Christie Brinkley, Peter Cook Messy Divorce: Settlement Agreement Reached
Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook (Finally) Reach Divorce Settlement Agreement
The messy Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook divorce has waged on long enough, with the couple finally reaching a settlement agreement.
But while an agreement has been reached, there's still PLENTY of bad blood between the former lovers. Read on to see how bad it's gotten (pssst. it's so bad that both Brinkley's lawyer and Cook's new wife both have sounded off).
Brinkley and Cook have been battling for custody of their two children, each has appeared in TV interviews, slamming the another and no doubt dragging their kids through a whole lot of drama.

Brinkley posted on Facebook Monday afternoon: "In a late night settlement, I finally won the right to establish boundaries with provisions such as an intermediary to deal with email bullying, verbal and emotional abuse."
Of course, they didn't just reach an agreement and vanish into the shadows, rather, her lawyer released a stabby statement, while Cook's new wife made her opinions on Brinkley known in a statement of her own.
Brinkley's lawyer, Thomas Campagna, posted this statement to Brinkley's Facebook page:
"Despite the fact that this matter has been settled, Mr. Cook and his attorney continue to garner media attention with outrageous lies and misstatements that have absolutely no reflection upon the parties' settlement. The statements made by Mr. Cook and his attorney regarding the terms of settlement are simply and completely untrue. Any statements released by Peter Cook should be viewed in the context of his personal history of severe, and well documented, ethical and moral shortcomings, all of which are indicative of his lack of credibility."
He summed it up by writing: "The legal matter is now fully resolved. As to Peter Cook's ongoing character assassination, we will no long dignify his behavior with a response."
Cook's new wife, Suzanne Shaw, also released a statement (why?), that includes a numbered list of lies Brinkley told about Cook, such as: "Lie#1: If you had moved on from your marriage to Peter Cook we wouldn't have been hearing about it ad nauseam for the last 6 years."

Also? "Lie #10: Peter has been your target (and me), but the sad reality is, it is Jack, Sailor and many other innocents ... Your spiteful vengeance and continued punishment of Peter no longer fits the crime of his parenthetical infidelity against you 6 years ago. In fact, it never did. You are one of many women who have been cheated on, but one of few who have chosen to disgrace her entire family because of it."
Ouch.
