Christina Hendricks' Size 14 Emmy Dress Was Stressful
Hendricks said no designer had a 14 to loan!
Oh, Hollywood, one day you will learn. Christina Hendricks -- the same Christina Hendricks who was named the world's sexiest woman earlier this year -- faced an Emmys wardrobe conundrum. (I said conundrum, not malfunction. Sorry boys.) Hendricks has revealed that for weeks during her Emmy dress hunt, not a single designer in Hollywood was willing to loan her a dress. What?!
You must be picturing the "Pretty Woman" scene where Julia Roberts waltzes into the Rodeo Drive boutique and tell the rude clerk who wouldn't wait on her, "Big mistake. Huge."

Yep, us too. London Fog had just paid Christina Hendricks thousands to appear as the poster girl for their fall campaign, and man can she fill out a trench coat. But while her luscious size 14 body was earning big bucks in outerwear, 35-year-old Hendricks worried she'd have to spend a fortune on a dress to wear to the Emmys! "People have been saying some nice, wonderful things about me," Hendricks told reporters leading up to the Emmys. "Yet not one designer in town will loan me a dress."

What was the problem? Hendricks explained: "They only lend out a size 0 or 2." So just days before the awards show, Hendricks cried, "I'm still struggling for someone to give me a darn dress!"
.
But on Emmys night, Hendricks stole the show in a plunging neckline lavender number by Zac Posen...and good thing, because with all the Emmy wins for "Mad Men," she was an on-camera staple! Fashion insiders suggest she's making serious waves for designers, as even Jean Paul Gaultier cast plus-sized model Crystal Renn for his newest campaign.
