Christopher Meloni: Returning to 'Law & Order SVU'?
Christopher Meloni Considering Return to 'Law & Order: SVU'
It was hard seeing Christopher Meloni leave Law & Order: SVU -- but he may be returning!
Meloni left SVU in 2011, after playing Detective Elliot Stabler for 12 years.
Fans were pretty bummed, to say the least, but the show carried on.
Still, many held out hope that Meloni would find his way back to Special Victims Unit.
Looks like the fans' prayers may have been answered, as Meloni was asked about his return during a panel at Comic-Con over the weekend.

Meloni told the audience, "I'm always willing to consider. I had 12 great years on the show. I loved the people and I loved that character."
Okay, so it's not a done deal yet, but there's a glimmer of hope there.
Meloni added, "There's no bad blood there. We'll just see when it comes. It's still doing OK, I guess."
If nothing else, it sounds like Meloni would consider returning for the series finale, giving fans a big finish, of sorts.
There's no word yet about when that series finale will come and Law & Order: SVU continues to go strong, returning for its 14th season on September 26.

Meloni has been busy with his role on True Blood, so it's not like he needs the work, but wouldn't it be great to see him back on SVU?
