Chuck E. Cheese Mascot Is Cool Now [MAKEOVER]
See the Chuck E. Cheese Mouse Makeover
The Chuck E. Cheese mascot is getting a makeover, with the company turning to a hipper image for their spokesmouse.
That Chuck E. Cheese mouse has looked the same for the past 35 years. Guess it's time for an upgrade.
What prompted the change?
As these things go, it was time for a change, as CEC Entertainment Inc, which runs Chuck E. Cheese, decided to go for a younger looking character.

The new Chuck E. Cheese will look pretty different, ditching the signature baseball cap and gloves and trading them in for an electric guitar and jeans.
Yep, he's become a young rock start.
As the company does away with the mouse's outdated image, they're also bailing on the voice of the character, Duncan Brannan.
Turns out Brannan didn't even know he was being replaced until he saw "Chuck's Hot New Single" online, voiced by Jaret Reddick, lead singer of the band Bowling for Soup.
Brannan sounded off on the shoddy communication, writing on Facebook: "Why CEC, Inc. chose to do this, or do it in this manner, one can only speculate and that is not my place. The fact is I am grateful for the time I have had to do this, to be "Chuck E." -- grateful to God for the appointment and grateful to the people at CEC, Inc. for the opportunity."

Was it time for Chuck E. Cheese's mascot to get a revamp? It can't hurt, considering that the chain has seen a major decline in sales as of late.
Be on the lookout for the new Chuck E. Cheese ad campaign, which should be airing soon.
