Colored Denim Brightens Up Any Outfit

You don't have to pay close attention to fashion trends to know that color blocking is really in right now. And since we hate wearing typical blue denim in the summer anyway, this is the perfect time for us to rock some colored denim and jump headfirst into the color blocking trend.

Typical denim just feels so heavy at this time of the year, when warm weather is finally starting to hit. But if you don't feel like wearing a dress or a skirt, what are you to do? Our favorite solution is colored denim. Pick up a pair of colored denim jeans in a bright, summery color and you'll stand out and while bringing a light, breezy look to town.

I absolutely love the fact that so much colored denim is on the market these days. From bright pink to aquamarine to purple crush, you can find just about any color you desire. Of course, I recommend the brighter colors for the summer, but any color will be enough to change your look up from boring old denim.

If you're apprehensive about wearing brightly colored denim, consider starting with a not-so-bright pair. How about a fabulous gray? Or a light blue or yellow? You don't have to stand way out with colored denim... But you can if you want!

Don't feel like you have to wear a plain white, neutral shirt when rocking a pair of colored jeans. If you want to fully immerse yourself in the color blocking trend, you'll want to pair brightly colored denim with a brightly colored top of a different, but complementing color.
