Conan O'Brien's Last Tonight Show January 22?

Could The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien be ending even sooner than we thought? It seems like this mess has gone on long enough and NBC needs to be reaching some conclusions soon. And that may mean the end of Conan's Tonight Show as soon as the end of next week.

According to a source, Conan's short-lived reign on The Tonight Show could actually be over at the end of next week, Friday January 22. That just sounds crazy soon! The source says, "Conan does not currently plan on doing any more new shows after next week." If this happens, the show will be ending two weeks before it was supposed to take a break for the Spring Olympics.

I can't help but wonder if this is Conan's plan or if NBC is halting his hosting duties after next week. After all, the NBC jokes may be funny, but they're starting to take on a more serious tone. And it's possible NBC wants to stop him before he says anything harmful.

If next week is Conan's last show, it's likely going to cause a huge uproar from the Internet. After all, it seems as though everyone on Twitter and blogs across the Interwebs are on Team Conan (or Team Coco as many are calling it).
