Courtney Love Denies Nirvana Musical
Kurt Cobain Musical Not Happening, Says Courtney Love
Thank the heavens, there will not be a musical based on the band Nirvana.
So says Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain's widow, Courtney Love.
Love denied any plans for a Nirvana musical, telling The Observer, "There will be no musical. Sometimes it's best just to leave things alone."
I can't believe I'd ever say I'd agree with something Love said, but you can't argue with that logic.
Still, that doesn't discount the idea of a biopic based on Love's life, which I don't think many people are exactly clamoring for.
Love also spoke about having control over Cobain's work since his passing -- and she's got a few regrets about selling some of it.
Love said, "I regret it so much. I'm never selling the rest of it."
Meanwhile, the smashed-up guitar from Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit music video is up for auction, to be sold at Christie's in London on November 29.
It's expected to grab $40,000.
