Spring is almost here! Which means it's time to shed those layers and start thinking about fashion. Of course, there's still a chill in the air, so jackets are a definite necessity. And this spring, jackets are likely going to be all the rage. Cropped trenches are the perfect combination of fashion and function.

Trench coats have been in style for years now. And while they can be incredibly stylish, they can also be all kinds of boring and "blah" if ill-fitting. Enter cropped trench coats. While we won't be waving goodbye to the classic trench any time soon, we will be seeing a whole lot more of the cropped trench coat. And I'm most definitely OK with that.

The beautiful thing about a cropped trench coat is that it's hard to look sloppy in one. It's much shorter than the average trench and often has a self-tie belt at the waist. Or buttons that keep everything together nice and snug. You certainly won't look like a trench coat flasher in a cropped trench! Not to mention, many cropped trenches have absolutely gorgeous details.

Since spring is in the air, you'd be smart to pick up a cropped trench in a bright or pastel color. Because the jackets are shorter than a typical trench, the fun color won't be overwhelming on you. Cropped trench coats are definitely less professional-looking than regular trenches... But they're also a whole lot more stylish! Fair trade, right?

Check out TheFind.com to see a huge selection of cropped trench coats for spring. I want to get one in every color, throw them on over my t-shirts, and call it an outfit every day for the entirety of spring!
