DJ AM "completely devastated" over recent break-up

DJ AM had been left "completely devastated" over a recent break-up with his girlfriend. The celebrity disc jockey, who was found dead in an apparent drug overdose at his New York apartment on Friday, was struggling to come to terms with losing Hayley Wood.

It's reported that the pretty redhead had called off their relationship within the last week. The two can be seen enjoying a holiday in France earlier this month in a video on Youtube. Footage shows them having fun on a yacht - and after a kiss from DJ AM, a giggling Hayley takes a leap overboard. The video was posted on Wood's YouTube account on August 15. It is reported that DJ AM, who has previously dated Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore, was also battling post-traumatic stress from the horrific plane crash that he survived last September. He suffered severe burns when the Learjet overshot a runway in South Carolina, alongside his pal, former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. Four people died in the explosion. DJ AM, a former addict, has been sober for nine years. But it is claimed that stress over the crash may have caused him to start using drugs again. Prescription drugs and a "crack pipe" were reportedly found in the Manhattan apartment where Goldstein's body was found. His cause of death has not yet been established, but authorities are said to be considering whether he died from an overdose.
