Dakota Fanning Bites Into Twilight

Now that we know Vanessa Hudgens is a no-go in the Twilight sequel New Moon, we can rest a little easy. We're not sure why the Disney queen irks us, but we're glad we won't have to see her smiley face in close proximity to Edward.

But guess whose smiley face we might be seeing instead? The fabulous Miss Dakota Fanning! Oh yes, that's right. The cute little cheerleader might be taking a break from high school to delve deep into the world of vampires and werewolves.

Fanning is rumored to be playing Jane, a member of the Volturi, a deadly group of powerful vampires. Jane is described as small but terrifying. D. Fanning can totally pull that off.

As long as she keeps her fangs out of Edward, we're cool with her moving into Forks. Oh, and she better stay away from Jacob too.
