David Beckham to Design Clothing Line for Adidas
Like wife like husband?
It looks like fashion designing runs in the Beckham family. It has been reported that David Backham is launching his own clothing line for Adidas, "Originals by Originals."
You know David Beckham for his soccer playing, right? OK, so you probably really know him for his amazingly hot body and keen fashion sense. So now Beckham will bring his hotness to a line of American sportswear. Could there be a match more perfect?
Beckham's wife, Victoria, is already well known for the line of jeans she designed for Rock & Republic, and her more recent success with her line of dresses. David Beckham has modeled for Armani's underwear line and is now making the move to actually design clothing. Especially appropriate considering Beckham was just named Best-Dressed Man by U.K.'s Glamour magazine.
Working in collaboration with James Bond of Undefeated Sneaker Boutique, it has been reported that his line at Adidas will be "on-trend American sportswear in relaxed fits and luxurious fabrics, including leather, cashmere, and silk."
Beckham says he has no plans to use his image to promote the new line and won't star in his own ads. Why not? We wouldn't mind.
