Demi Moore: I'm Not A Cougar
Demi Moore tells W Magazine how her personal life affects her career.
Loyal Demi Moore followers are obeying her most recent request to the public. In the interview for her new W Magazine cover, she stated, "I'd prefer to be called a puma."
Demi Moore says fans heralded her request after she "Twittered it out. People wrote back hilarious stuff, saying, 'I'm going to get T-shirts that say puma power.'"
Husband Ashton Kutcher inspired Moore's use of Twitter, which she says has provided her career with a major boost indeed. She says fans relate to her more strongly as Demi Moore than they do to her onscreen work: "People are much more interested in what I have to say directly, and that really changed the whole dynamic I have with fans...I can't impress enough the difference in how people are perceiving me. They're getting to see who I am." Moore is referring to her 2.2 million Twitter followers -- at first she was hesitant to share details about her personal life with legions of fans, but now she says, "You post something and get your finger on the pulse ... You know what people are interested in."
.
And we're definitely interested in more Demi Moore. So just who is she these days? She says that while she keeps a Twitter username MrsKutcher -- and while she's Demi Kutcher in real life -- she'll always work by Demi Moore. And, she wants to keep getting roles that reflect the hotness that she is, which is getting difficult now that she's 47: "The frustrating part is that the type of roles I'd be interested in are not really coming to me. I hate to say it's a function of my age-but yes, I think in some ways it is. The majority of [female] roles are geared between 25 and 35."
Hollywood, listen: when a woman looks as good as Demi Moore does, just give her whatever part she asks for. Clearly fans support an actress who's cool in her skin.
She's also cool in her marriage to Ashton Kutcher -- read our story on how the Kutchers are discussing baby plans.
