The show's upcoming all-stars season "is kind of my swan song. It's my last hurrah," Hough said in an interview with USA Today (via MSNBC.com).
Hough, who has nabbed three mirrored-ball trophies as part of the winning teams on DWTS, says he's leaving the show to pursue other professional opportunities.
He joined DWTS in season five, and took a brief break in 2011 to film a role in the upcoming dance movie Cobu.
"(DWTS) is full time … there is zero flexibility," Hough told USA Today. "And I want to do other projects. I want to push myself into other areas. And this is my 10th season, a great benchmark."

Hough's sister, Julianne Hough, was part of the DWTS pro crew for seasons four through eight, and has starred in movies like Footloose and Rock of Ages.
Dancing With the Stars: All Stars (the show's 15th season) premieres on ABC on Sept. 24., and the cast for the all-star season is expected to be announced today.
