Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly Secretly Engaged?

One plays a cheerleader on television and the other swings a bat for a living, and now they've fallen for each other. According to an insider, New York Yankee's shortstop Derek Jeter and his girlfriend, Minka Kelly, are engaged and planning a wedding.

The insider told the New York Post that the two are "secretly engaged," and that they told their friends to "save the date" sometime in the fall after the baseball season is over.

Kelly's rep, however, denied any plans for matrimonial bliss, saying "there is no fall wedding planned to Derek Jeter."

Minka Kelly is best known for her role as Lyla Garrity in Friday Night Lights. Jeter, for those who haven't heard, is not only an all-star player for one of the best teams in baseball, but he's also known for romancing some of the most beautiful women in the world. He's been connected with ladies like Scarlett Johannson, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba and Jennifer Aniston.
