Dexter's Michael C. Hall Battling Cancer
He's had Hodgkin's Lymphoma for some time now.
Michael C. Hall may play a killer of killer's on television, but that doesn't mean he's completely invulnerable. The actor recently announced he has been diagnosed with cancer and, luckily, it is headed into remission.
In a statement, Hall, 38, says he has been battling Hodgkin's Lymphona for awhile now, but managed to keep it a secret from fans.
"I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care," Hall said. A spokesman added that his cancer is in complete remission.
In a sign of his health, Hall plans to attend Sunday's Golden Globes award ceremony with his wife (and Dexter co-star) Jennifer Carpenter. He's up for best dramatic actor.
Hall has gained fame for his portrayal of Dexter Morgan, a blood-splatter specialist working for the Miami Police Department who goes on his own vigilante killing sprees during his off-time.
