Diane Lane and Josh Brolin Divorcing
Diane Lane and Josh Brolin Can't Make Their Marriage Work
After 8 and a half years of marriage, veteran actors Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to break up.
“Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage,” their rep issued in a very concise, cut and dry statement today.
The pair married in August of 2004 and within 5 months, Lane had called the police citing an altercation with her new husband. Brolin, son of actor James Brolin, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery but Lane later declined to press charges.
Brolin was also arrested in the Summer of 2008 after a fight in a bar while filming on location in Louisiana. And, recently he made headlines when he was picked up for public intoxication on New Year's day in Santa Monica. “It was New Year’s. It was a pretty innocent thing. It was a fun thing,” he said at the time. “The most awful thing about it is you see this shot of me, they don’t show you the other shot when I turn and I have a huge smile on my face.”
This was the second marriage for both Lane, who's been acting her whole life, and Brolin. She was married to "Tarzan" actor Christopher Lambert and Brolin was married to actress Alice Adair from 1988 to 1994 and they had two children - a son, Trevor and girl, Eden. Brolin and Lane have no kids together.
