Disney Buys Lucasfilm: 3 More 'Star Wars' Movies Planned [VIDEO]
Disney Plans Three More 'Star Wars' Films
Yesterday, it was announced that the Walt Disney Company bought Lucasfilm, and Star Wars: Episode VII is planned for a 2015 release.
That's not all Disney has planned.
There's also buzz that three additional Star Wars movies will be made, beginning with Episode VII, to be released in 2015.

Of course, with news this earth shattering, comes plenty of buzz about whether or not the deal is good for the film franchise or not.
There are plenty of Star Wars purists who don't want Disney involved, but a lot of fans are excited to see new life breathed into the series.
I love the rundown over at Entertainment Weekly about who should direct Star Wars: Episode VII, with Christopher Nolan, Peter Jackson, Joss Whedon and J.J. Abrams among their top picks.
I'm all about Nolan in this race--he brought so much to the Batman films, I'd love to see him take on Star Wars.
Disney CEO Bob Iger spoke about the future of the Star Wars franchise, saying, "Our longterm plan is to release a new Star Wars feature film every two to three years."

Star Wars creator and Lucasfilm CEO George Lucas said in a statement: "For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next. It's now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. I've always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime."
What do you think of this new development and future Star Wars films?
