Well, it depends on the man

A recent study shows that women prefer shoes to men. Agree? Personally, I think it depends on the man. And the shoe. But a lot of this study just sounds crazy to me.

Would you trade in your boyfriend for a nice new pair of shoes. Say, a pair of Manolos? A recent British study conducted by shoe storage retailer, tszuji.co.uk, has shown that over 92% of women can remember the first pair of shoes they bought with their own money, while less than 2 out of 3 women can remember the name of the first person they kissed. Um. Why do I find that hard to believe? Maybe I'm just odd in not really remembering exactly which pair of shoes were my first. Can you?

Taking the whole shoe love thing a bit further, researchers also found that 96% of women have regretted throwing out a pair of shoes, while only 15% regret dumping a boyfriend. Well, I guess the implications of keeping an old pair of shoes aren't quite as rough as keeping a bad boyfriend.

I can't help but think that the survey was skewed by the fact it was conducted by a company that creates storage for shoes. They're trying to tell us we'll regret throwing away our shoes, so we may as well keep them... And get some storage to go along with them! And according to the survey, "Women treat shoes like best friends. And it seems their footwear memories last longer than those of their past lovers." Don't get me wrong; I have some great memories with my shoes, but not quite like those with the people in my life.

My boyfriend is always trying to get me throw away my shoes since my closet is overflowing with them. Should he actually be the one getting thrown away? No. as much as I love my shoes, I'd like to keep him around too.
