Donald Trump Calls Obama's Victory "A Sham." World Responds, "Shut Up Already, Donald Trump."
Can You Say Worst Sore Loser Ever?
You know how, sometimes, politically amped-up celebrities claim they'll move out of the U.S. if their candidate doesn't win the election? Can someone get Donald Trump on that? In the wake of President Obama's victory last night, The Donald, a rabid Romney supporter, has gone on an unseemly Twitter rampage that has all of America -- regardless of their political views -- wishing he'd just book a one way ticket outta here.
It was via Twitter that, two weeks ago, Trump made a bizarre offer to the President: show me your passport application and college transcripts, and I'll donate $5 million to the charity of your choice.
Aside from being downright silly, many believed it implied that Trump still didn't believe that Obama was born in the United States. Mind you, this is after Obama showed the world his birth certificate, proving that he was.
Given that Obama 1) ignored his offer and then 2) won the election, it makes sense Trump was pissed. But his tweets reveal more than anger -- they reveal a man who seems majorly unhinged.
"This election is a total sham and a travesty," read one tweet. "We are not a democracy!" Read another: "Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble ... like never before."
Oh, and also! He suggested the country riot, tweeting: "We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty."
His followers have expressed shock, disgust and outrage, but our favorite reaction so far is that of news anchor Brian Williams, who made zero attempt to hide is annoyance at the story. Trump, he stated, "has driven well past the last exit to relevance."
If only at the end of the road there was an enormous cliff for him to drive off.
But, congrats on one thing, The Donald: you, unlike either political party, have managed to unite the people of our country ... in our shared belief that you are a giant windbag.
