Dr. Conrad Murray Charged With Michael Jackson's Death
Jackson family feels judge's ruling is a "slap on the wrist."
All last week we followed reports that any day now, Michael Jackson's live-in physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, would be charged with Jackson's death. Monday it finally happened when the Los Angeles County Disrict Attorney found Murray guilty of killing Michael Jackson -- however, "without malice."
Radar Online quoted the following ruling: "Dr. Conrad Robert Murray, 56 was charged in case No. SA 073164, filed at the Airport Branch of Los Angeles Superior Court. The count alleged that Murray " did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson...in the commission of an unlawful act, not amounting to a felony; and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution and circumspection."
Non-felony involuntary manslaughter charges carry a maximum punishment of four years in jail. It's reported Murray's sentence will be decided at a later arraignment.
Meanwhile it doesn't sound like the Jackson family is satisfied with the judge's decision on Dr. Conrad Murray, who once told the court that he'd never administered anything that "should have" killed Michael Jackson. The Jacksons wanted murder charges, as they felt manslaughter was nothing more than "a slap on the wrist."
By the way, have you played the video of Michael's two elder children giving a speech at last week's Grammys? It was one pop culture moment for 2010 that you can't miss.
