Dr. Frank Ryan, Heidi Montag's Plastic Surgeon, Dies Tragically

Not only has Heidi Montag officially said farewell to her husband by signing divorce papers, but she'll also have to bid goodbye to her beloved plastic surgeon. Dr. Frank Ryan, doctor to the stars, performed Montag's near-dozen procedures and appeared on news outlets like CNN to defend her decision to plastic-up...but after a long-awaited adventure Monday afternoon, Dr. Frank Ryan died in Malibu.

TMZ reports that Dr. Frank Ryan had tweeted Monday afternoon just before his crash: "After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew!" Just before that he'd taken a photo of his dog on top of a cliff and tweeted with a Twit pic, "Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune."
It's said Dr. Frank Ryan then climbed inside his Jeep before it tumbled down a rocky cliff, leaving him with severe head injuries. Dr. Ryan was pronounced dead on the scene around 4:30 p.m. West Coast time. Witnesses say his dog survived the crash but sustained injuries. It's not clear where Dr. Frank Ryan will be buried or whom members of his family are.
With his liberal approach to plastic surgery, 50-year-old Dr. Ryan preserved the lifestyles and careers his patients -- among them Heidi Montag, Gene Simmons and Vince Neil. Dr. Frank Ryan was also the founder of the Bony Pony Ranch, a Malibu-based non-profit foundation that fosters leadership in young children.
