Drew Barrymore Got Rid of the Black

Drew Barrymore has said good-bye to her nasty black hair dye that was driving me (and plenty of other beauty bloggers) up the wall. With her gal pals at a press event, Drew debuted a newer, fresher look that kept her blunt blond cut, just making it a little shorter.

There's no doubt in my mind that Drew Barrymore's new 'do wasn't just fresh, but managed to gel nicely with her low-key makeup. The black dyed tips didn't just look gross for obvious reasons, but also happened to drag down her whole face, making it look aged and more haggard.

Now, Barrymore's makeup looks awesome with the cool new blond, and with the rosy lipstick she had on last night, we're predicting many style-related home runs in the future, as long as she doesn't do anything crazy again.

We're not the only ones who thought that Drew's look was nuts: even her colorist said that "This is the craziest look I've ever given her!" Just FYI, if you'd like to try out a similar look, it was achieved with a paper stencil--although we don't recommend you do it in black.
