What? No Drew?
.

Barrymore's out, Bayona is in.

Things are about to get scary in Forks. Juan Antonio Bayona, most famous for his Spanish horror film The Orphanage, has just been tapped to direct the third installment of the Twilight franchise.

We couldn't think of a more perfect pairing. Eclipse is one creepy book - an army of new and extremely dangerous vampires come to feed on Bella - and if the movie is anything like the book, it's gonna need to be frightful.

Drew Barrymore was also considered for the job, but we just can't see Drew's production company, Flower Films, being the right fit. We loved Never Been Kissed, but there were no rabid blood suckers.

Twilight's director, Catherine Hardwicke, dropped out of the second film (New Moon) after production was pushed up. New Moon hits theatres in November.

We'll be watching.
