Dwayne Johnson 'The Rock' to Play Hercules in New Movie
Dwayne Johnson Cast as Hercules
This sounds like perfect casting. Dwayne Johnson will play the role of Hercules in a new movie about the mythical strong "man."
Johnson, the former wrestler known as "The Rock," won't even have to do any training to get into top Herculean form - he's still as fit as he was in the ring.

The new Hercules movie, based on the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars, will be directed by Brett Ratner, who recently directed Tower Heist.
According to ComingSoon.net, the movie will tackle Hercules' work with the Thracian army.
There are three graphic novels in the series ... do we smell sequels?

Production on the new Hercules film will start in early 2013, so it's too early to tell if it'll be a trilogy or not.
Johnson, who has had a busy and successful acting career, will next be seen in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and the body-building movie Pain and Gain.
