Easy Valentine's Day Vacations
Get it going with Expedia.
If you didn't check your calendars yet, we're just going to tell you now that Valentine's Day is a long weekend: President's Day falls on the 15th, making it an awesome long weekend. If you are looking for a good way to impress your honey, why not plan a mini-trip out of town?
It's not easy planning a surprise trip in a new relationship, OR if you've been in one for a long time, and you feel like you've run out of ideas. Here are a few tips for you to get moving on that romantic trip out of town.
*Put your agenda on the back-burner, and don't go nuts with gifts if you are already planning a mini-vaca. Buy something small and meaningful-- and please, not cheesy-- and then surprise your partner with it in the beginning of the trip to set the mood. Make sure you can bring it on the plane, too-- no big bottles of lotion, perfume, or even lip gloss. Wrap the present in tissue and put it in a gift bag, so it doesn't get torn open before you fly.
*Do your research. After you check out a few good deals, research what there is to do at each location. It might sound like a no-brainer, but a bunch of good deals on Expedia can make you want to pounce immediately. Weigh your partner's interests, and pick the place that offers the best things to do for you. Options include places with night hostpots, the oceanside, tiny towns with historical tours, and places with notable restaurants.
*Plan everything out. Don't leave details that you'll just stress over later. Do not forget to rent a car on time, reserve the meal, and buy tickets to any attractions in advance.
