We think Jessica Szohr may be in for the shock of a lifetime when she hears Ed Westwick announcing he's single. Then again, maybe it's just sweet payback for when she cheated on him. One thing's for sure-- We can file Ed and Jessica's relationship under "it's complicated."

We all assumed Gossip Girl stars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr were happily back together again when we saw them making out in the stands at the U.S. Open. Public lip locking must be their way of announcing it to the public, right? Well, maybe not.

Ed Westwick just told UK'S Closer magazine he's still single. He claims, "I'm single! My English accent drives American girls crazy but I haven't got time for romance." No time for romance, but plenty of time for making out in public? OK, then.

Of course, we know that Ed and Jessica went through that nasty breakup that was allegedly the result of Jessica Szohr cheating on him. It was so nasty, she almost left Gossip Girl.

So, maybe this is just Ed's way of getting back at Jessica? Or we guess it's possible they reconnected and started hooking up again, but are still calling it casual. We guess there's nothing like running back into the arms of an ex. Even if it is just temporarily. We can't wait to see where this one goes.
