Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr Break Up

Another day, another breakup

It's being reported that everyone's favorite Gossip Girl couple, Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr have broken up. We'd say this is the most traumatic breakup of the year, but we're still shedding tears over Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy. But wait until you hear why they're breaking up.

In a year where we've heard way too many cheating allegations, here's just one more. It's being said that Jessica Szohr actually cheated on Ed Westwick. With one of his friends! It sounds like something that would come right out of CW's Gossip Girl. But this is real life, people.

According to the New York Post's Page Six column, a source said, "Jessica recently celebrated her birthday in LA and was being openly affectionate and flirty with Marco. They ended up back at the same hotel, but nobody knows what happened behind closed doors. Her flirty behavior shocked a lot of their friends, so word quickly got back to Ed, who has been filming in Europe. He immediately ended their relationship on the phone...."

We had to laugh when PopCrunch referred to it as pulling a "Joe Jonas." In fact, we might feel just a little bit bad for Jessica Szohr. After all, she wasn't even given a chance to explain... What if absolutely nothing happened? In fact, it's being said Jess flew from L.A. to London to explain things to Ed, but he wasn't having it. Sounds like Ed Westwick is jumping the gum here; but then again, maybe he really does have reason to believe something went on.

We hope these two manage to work things out and stick together; they were one couple we actually really liked!
