While Nike stands by their man Tiger Woods, referring to him as the greatest golfer in history and calling his infidelity "a minor blip," it's being reported that Nike's nemesis Puma knows a good Swedish spokesperson when they see her. Looks like Elin Nordegren's going to be a working woman soon...

Early Wednesday morning a report surfaced that Elin Nordegren and the Puma brand are in the final stages of talks for Elin to become the spokesperson for Puma's line with a Swedish flare Tretorn.

An official from Puma has confirmed that they are in "internal discussions" with Elin Nordegren and "very close" to closing a deal with Nordegren.

Apart from the obvious Swedish connection, what's the draw? First of all the public still associates Elin with luxury in sporting, and from being married to Tiger Woods, she knows at least the basics of an endorsement deal. Plus, as the Puma party has stated, Elin Nordegren is "a good brand fit" for Puma.

While much of the public cheers as some of Tiger Woods' sponsors sever their ties with him, Elin's deal is sweet revenge.
