Elin Nordegren Wasn't Behind Tiger's Apology
Sources say Tiger's mea culpa was solely his decision.
Last Friday's public apology by Tiger Woods is reported to have drawn seven million viewers around the U.S., but a new report suggests that one party who could have taken or left Tiger's teary "I'm sorry" was his wife, Elin Nordegren.
It's being reported that Nordegren didn't demand that Tiger make the apology, and in fact there were no guarantees that if he made it, she'd forgive him. Says a source allegedly close to Elin: "She never demanded he make the apology but it was a gesture he was willing to do."
Apparently Nordegren is still "very angry" at Tiger, says the source, but she's putting on a loving face for their children Sam, 2, and Charlie, 1. The entire family left Orlando on a jet Saturday night so that Tiger can undergo more sex rehab treatment. It's reported that they're in Arizona.
.
Elin Nordegren's grudge comes as little surprise, as she rejected her husband's family portrait request, and as Tiger's former mistresses continue to get more press. Not only did Joslyn James hold a lowbrow press conference last week, as we reported; but Howard Stern is holding a beauty pageant for Tiger's ex-flings.
