Elizabeth Hurley Granted Divorce from Arun Nayar
Hurley is a Free Woman Once Again
Elizabeth Hurley has been over her marriage for a long time. In fact, she was over it before her ex-husband was even aware. Interestingly, while Hugh Grant's ex took a hit in the press for flirting with cricket player Shane Warne, the judge ruled that Arun Nayar's "unreasonable bahavior" was indeed a perfect reason to dissolve the marriage.
One point for Hurley? The actress announced her split from Nayar at the end of last year when she was exposed getting close to Warne. Hurley later admitted that she had been separated from her husband for a few months, but had declined to make a statement. It made her look terrible at the time.
It now sounds like there was a lot more to Hurley's story than we expected.
Today representatives for Hurley and Nayar met in High Court's Family Division in London, and the judge "held that the respondent has behaved in such a way that the petitioner cannot be reasonably expected to live with the respondent."

Now that kind of conclusion gets my gossip antennae moving: What was so unreasonable about Arun Nayar? It might be standard talk in the divorce paperwork world, but Elizabeth Hurley's marriage was painted as a cross-cultural fairytale. There was an heir (Nayar), saris, elephants, a castle, and piles of money, plus a large London home. Surely this can't all come down to a silly cheating scandal, can it?
Give this about six months, and Hurley will do a comfortable interview with a big magazine for money and maybe a safety pin Versace dress. She'll give us a few tidbits, all in good time. Until then, we can start a pot going about the "real reasons" for the divorce.
