Elton John Calls Madonna a 'Fairground Stripper' Whose Career 'Is Over'
He's Upset About Madonna's Comments About His Pal Lady Gaga
Well, there's no doubt that Elton John is a loyal friend. He's so upset about comments he says Madonna has made about his good friend Lady Gaga that he unleashed a snarky rant about Madonna during his appearance on an Australian TV show.

In an interview with Australian journalist Molly Meldrum (as reported by RadarOnline.com), John said, "Why is [Madonna] such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over, I can tell you that. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger c**t."
John and Madonna have feuded off-and-on for years, but his latest rant comes from Madonna's claims that Lady Gaga's hit "Born This Way" is a rip-off of Madonna's old hit "Express Yourself."

Madonna so raised his ire, in fact, that he attacked both her music and her fashion sense.
"If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly," he said in a backhanded compliment.
"But no … she looks like a f**king fairground stripper. She's been so horrible to Gaga."
(For the record, as much as we are entertained by John's sniping at Madonna, we can't hear "Born This Way" without immediately thinking of "Express Yourself" … same song, Elton!)
John's defense of Lady Gaga comes not only because she's a friend of the pop legend and his partner David Furnish, but also because she's the godmother of his son, Zachary.

"She's great," he says of Gaga. "Wherever she is in the world she sends texts to him. She asks, 'How is he?' She comes and bathes him, she sings to him, she's a good godmother and she really pays attention."
