Elvis Presley's Grandson Scores $5 Million Record Deal
Uncanny Elvis look-alike Benjamin Presley, 17, will record up to five albums with Universal Records.
Lisa Marie Presley's eldest son Benjamin has landed a $5.25 million contract with the world's biggest record company Universal. Will his music be anything like Grandpa's? Doesn't seem likely.
While Benjamin Presley has appeared to drop his given last name Keough (he is Lisa Marie's son with first husband Danny Keough), he says that his music will be completely different from the style of grandpa Elvis Presley, still revered by many as the "King of Rock and Roll." Ben's not trying to cash in on Elvis's sound: "The music will be nothing like Elvis, nothing like him at all," he said while speaking at a women's inspiration awards show in London. (Elvis died 15 years before Ben was born.)
Ben's also not quite ready to step into the role of international pop star, either; says his spokesman, "He's a typical 17-year-old. He doesn't get up before midday and then grunts at you."
We at LimeLife think Benjamin Presley also bears a striking resemblance to our beloved Adam Lambert, which may bode well for the Presley boy because as we reported last week, Adam Lambert's album is already topping the charts. Take a look at Ben Presley here.
