Emma Watson is Taking a Break from Brown

Emma needs a break

Just yesterday, I was marveling at the fact that Emma Watson seems to be able to do it all. And now we're learning that Emma is taking a little break from working toward her college degree. I don't blame her! And I have total faith she'll get it done eventually.

From Harry Potter press to her multiple clothing lines, how does Emma Watson find the time to study? And at Brown, nonetheless. I think she's now realizing that if she can't put her all into her studies, she may as well take a little break for them. Brown isn't going anywhere and I'm sure they'll gladly welcome Emma back when she's ready to return.

Emma took to her website to update all her fans, saying, "As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I've had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible... I've decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects."

Since the final Harry Potter movie is set to be released this summer, it's likely going to involve a whole lot of press tours and traveling for premieres. Not to mention, Emma's launching a brand eco-friendly new clothing line, Pure Threads, with Alberta Ferretti. And who knows what else she's got up her sleeve!

But think before you call Emma Watson a quitter. She assures her fans, "I will still be working towards my degree... it's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought : )"

I would have been wildly impressed if Emma Watson somehow got her college degree from Brown in the normal amount of time. In fact, I would have been suspicious that she's actually Super Woman! It's nice to know Emma Watson is, in fact, a "real" person.
