Enrique Iglesias to Collaborate With The Situation?
Career suicide?
We were shocked enough when we learned Enrique Iglesias had the title track on the Jersey Shore soundtrack. Then we realized he was probably desperate for a comeback and this could be one way to get it. But is collaborating with The Situation just going too far for Enrique? We think so.
We're totally entertained by the cast of the Jersey Shore, but we wouldn't really want to work with them. Or associate with them in the business world. Not to mention, we think the preview for The Situation's first single is just awful. Enrique Iglesias is already well-established and super popular; he just hasn't had an album out in a while. But the bilingual Euphoria comes out on July 6 (only in Targets) and he could be pretty awesome.
However, Enrique is still totally open to working with The Situation in the future. When asked by E! Online if Enrique would ever collaborate with Sitch, he responds, "I wouldn't mind it... I mean, a lot of it comes down to the song, but it would be fun." But probably a really bad career move, right? Enrique has been popular forever, while the Jersey Shore is likely on its way out.
But surprisingly, Enrique makes it sound like the Jersey Shore cast is a joy to work with. He says, "They were very easy to work with... You watch the show and you see all this drama and all these fights and you're like, 'Oh my God, all of this is going to be going on during the video!' It wasn't like that at all. Once I got to hang out with them, the guys were so nice and I'm actually a big fan now."
Well, isn't that interesting. Would you like to hear a Enrique Iglesias/The Situation collaboration? Or do you think it's the worst idea ever?
