Erin Andrews Video a Peephole into Our Souls

Just as your hopes for humanity were beginning to rebound, some creep goes and pulls a stunt like this. Erin Andrews, a prominent sports reporter for ESPN, was secretly video taped through a peephole as she changed in her hotel room. And now the internet is afire with her naked pictures.

To make matters even worse, new reports are suggesting that the video was shot by one of her fellow employees. And this, of course, has ESPN fuming.

"Andrews has been grievously wronged here," said a spokesman. "Our people and resources are in full support of her as she deals with this abhorrent act."

The scandal started a few days ago when a video of Andrews was posted on the French website DailyMotion.com. It reportedly shows the 31 year-old Andrews, who was voted "sexiest sportscaster" by Playboy magazine, doing her hair while naked in her hotel bedroom.

But pervs and voyeurs weren't the only ones to take notice. Hackers jumped at the chance to create fake video links, leading lusty searchers away from the real video and into a virus-laden download.

So think of it like internet karma: if you go looking for a poor girl that was taken advantage of and whose privacy was invaded, you get your identity stolen. Fair is fair.

Or maybe (hopefully) this is just a huge stunt by ESPN and Andrews to pull in ratings. I'm not a woman or anything, but what kind of lady does her hair while naked? Isn't that, like, impossible or something? She'd have to be Houdini to get a blouse back on without messing the whole thing up again.

Either way, sideline reporting will never be the same. Pretty soon you'll see other broadcasters releasing their own videos just to keep up. So next season, when you come crying about a new peephole tape of Terry Bradshaw caught in the buff, just remember it's your own dang fault.
