Estee Lauder Granddaughter, Aerin Lauder, to Launch Fashion Line

A new Lauder legacy?

Does the name Aerin Lauder sound familiar? Maybe not yet, but Aerin is the granddaughter of of the famed Estée Lauder. And it's just been announced the Aerin is stepping out on her own to start a company with the guidance of Vogue's Anna Wintour and NBC's Jeff Zucker. Sounds like it will be a force to be reckoned with!

When you come from the Lauder family, you're born into success, right? But Aerin Lauder isn't happy being simply being the senior vice president and creative director of Estée Lauder. She wants to have her own business!

According to sources to the New York Post's Page Six, Aerin wants to be the next Tory Burch," or even bigger! So, the 40-year-old is launching a fashion line that will include accessories, housewares, china, and jewelry. And who knows what else it will include in the future! Allegedly, Anna Wntour will be assisting Lauder during the launch of her collection and former NBC head honcho Jeff Zucker will be acting as a consultant.

One exciting detail is that some of the jewelry is set to be based off that in Estée Lauder's own personal collection.

While starting her new company will be incredibly exciting, it's being said Aerin leaving her post with Estée Lauder could be hard on the business. An Estee Lauder spokesperson says, "Aerin Lauder is a vital part of the Estée Lauder Companies and the Estée Lauder brand. She will continue to have a senior creative role with the brand and will continue as a member of the board of directors of the company. An announcement is forthcoming about her future business plans."

I'm super excited to see what Aerin Lauder's new business is all about since I think she's incredibly talented and fashionable. Could Aerin start a whole new legacy for the Lauder family?
