Eva Longoria Parker is Philantropist of the Year
Eva is one celebrity who knows how to give back
We've always liked Eva Longoria, now Eva Longoria Parker. But mostly for her acting skills and amazing fashion sense. But now that she's been named Philantropist of the year, we can't help but love her even more!
Honestly, even though we've always really liked Eva Longoria, we actually had no idea about how much she does for charity. We would have never guessed she would be named Philantropist of the Year, probably pegging Angelina Jolie for that honor. But Eva was just honored by The Hollywood Reporter in a private ceremony.
A publisher for The Hollywood Reporter says of her, "I've never met a more conscientious and socially aware young, energetic talent... Eva's efforts on behalf of the causes near and dear to her are Herculean. She pours her free time and energy into raising millions of dollars for charitable missions that make a difference in the Latino community and other humanitarian organizations."
How cool! According to them, Eva is the national spokesperson for Padres Contra El Cancer (Parents Against Cancer), a nonprofit organization for latino children with cancer. In addition, she founded Eva's Heroes in San Antonio, for children with developmental disabilities.
See? Don't you love Eva Longoria just a little bit more now, too? We still can't believe she's having trouble scoring film roles, but we hope this title will possibly help her just a little bit!
