Everpurse: The Purse That Charges Your Cell Phone
Set The Purse Overnight, Charge Your Phone All Day
No matter where you are or what you're doing, chances are your phone will die right when you need it most. Tired of getting stranded, entrepreneur Liz Salcido found a way to solve this first world problem ... by super-charging her purse.

"I wanted to do something that cuts down on the wires," says Salcedo, 27, a social worker who teamed up with her husband to bring the world Everpurse, the latest step toward wireless cell phone charging.
The new gadget is a small hand bag (designed to fit into other larger bags) that you slip your phone into and, by the magic of gravity and an undisclosed technology, charges the device right there.
Salcedo and her husband started out experimenting with cheap purses and third party battery chargers.

"I tore out the insides and I glued and taped things down," Salcedo told the New York Daily News. "I moved things around and I played with it for a week, and then I moved it around again."
Now the couple have a full-fledged Kickstarter campaign that has raised over $150,000 -- well past the goal of $100,000.
"We've gotten a lot of 'oh my god this changes everything,'" Salcedo said.
Through October 13 you can order a purse from Kickstarter for about $130, or you can have your favorite bag retrofitted with the Everpurse technology for $600. Otherwise, Salcedo says you'll have to wait until early next year to get your hands on one.
