Acne Makeover Tutorial Star Cassandra Bankson Walks Runway

Teenager Cassandra Bankson, who made headlines for her amazing acne makeover tutorial on YouTube, got a shot at the big time during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.
Bankson, who suffers from terrible acne, walked a New York Fashion Week runway.

Bankson told Today.com that in school, "I was awkward -- I didn't fit in," noting that because of intense bullying about her skin, she studied privately and graduated two years early.
Bankson, 19, modeled for Boy Meets Girl by Stacy Igel, whose clothes have graced characters on TV shows and real-life celebs as well.
Of her amazing makeover, which she shared on YouTube, she said, "I could put those on and look like another person. All of a sudden I felt confident."
Designer Stacy Igel spoke about selecting Bankson for the modeling gig, noting she had the right "vibe" for the fashion show, but also explaining, "I really liked Cassandra more for what she had gone through."

Igel added that Bankson combines "everything Boy Meets Girl stands for: young, fresh, innovative, out-of-the-box and girls who make a stand and are able to be influencers in the marketplace."
