Claims To Find Your Pretentious Pals...Then Hit Them With a Car

We've all got friends that, from time to time, we'd like to run over with a car. Doing so, however, will land us 25 to life behind bars. Thankfully, there's no an app that lets us do so virtually...and get away scot-free.

The new "Mitsubishi Unpretentious" app claims to suss out your most annoying, pretentious friends, then run them over with a 2013 Outlander Sport.

William Gelner, a creative exec who worked on the app, explains its appeal. "For many, social media has become a way to brag or show off. From posting images of expensive meals...or exotic vacations they're on, this is an epidemic and it's running rampant. Mitsubishi, a car with a great design, but at a more down-to-earth price, felt compelled to make a statement in-line with their brand ethos."

Right, it's about making a statement. It's not about selling cars at all...

Still, while the ap's algorithm for finding the offensive friends isn't clear, one editor who tried it says it's pretty spot on.
