I still don't understand why Stabilo hasn't yet made it big in the U.S., but this Canadian band is one of my all-time favorites. I enjoy pretty much all of their music, but "Flawed Design" was the first song I heard and remains one of my favorites.

Come on, it's not like Canada is that far. And they gave us Barenaked Ladies, Bryan Adams, and Nelly Furtado. So, why hasn't America given Stabilo a chance yet? After all, they've been around since 1999. Luckily, we can all enjoy them, even if no other Americans want to.

The music of Stabilo can be described best as acoustic rock and really ranges in terms of lyrics and speed. When I first heard "Flawed Design," I immediately became a fan of the band. I loved their voices and am a huge fan of the lyrics.

"'Cause I lie, not because I want to/But I seem to need to all the time/Yeah I lie and I don't even know it/Maybe this is all a part of my flawed design/And ever since I figured out/That I could control other people/I've had trouble sleeping/With both eyes closed."

I love the song because it's both something everyone can relate to and something that's incredibly scary. And because it's just so pretty.
