'G.I. Joe' Leads the Pack of DVD Releases
A real American hero wants to go home with you.
It's time to go to the movies... while never leaving your couch. Here's our quick guide to what's new and what's hot at your local DVD store.
One of the biggest blockbusters of the summer, G.I. Joe hits theaters this weekend, and it will almost definitely be the top rental. The film follows a new recruit (Channing Tatum) as he joins an elite military squad known as G.I. Joe. The task force soon meets its match when it comes head to head with a shadowy arms dealer and terrorist organization known only as Cobra.
In The Taking of Pelham 123, Denzel Washington plays a New York City subway dispatcher who must figure out how to save a group of hostages from a criminal mastermind (John Travolta). The film is based on an earlier movie from 1974.
Remember your high school crush? Well, what if you had decided to do something about it? In I Love You, Beth Cooper, the school valedictorian decides to proclaim his love to the most popular girl in school, Beth Cooper (Hayden Panettiere), only to have her show him a wild, woolly night.
For the kiddies, try out Aliens in the Attic. The animated feature stars Disney's High School Musical alumna Ashley Tisdale as a young woman whose boyfriend is taken over by tiny mind-controlling aliens. Now it is up to her and her siblings to defend their house against an all-out alien onslaught.
