Janero Marchand fighting gossip sites to set the record straight.

This is part of last Friday's tweet by Janero Marchand, the 22-year-old Georgetown law student who's been reported as Rihanna's new boy. Apparently the two were spotted cavorting together around New York City during Fashion Week, and while no photos have emerged, rumors suggest they were pretty close for comfort.

Janero happens to be the person who introduced Kanye West to Amber Rose, but he's insisting that's where his claim to fame ends. Last week he took to Twitter to deny "bogus" claims that he's been Rihanna's source of love and solace since Chris Brown spoke out about his criminal sentencing. He tweeted, "I'm not dating Rihanna,I'm NOT gay/bi and I never wore extensions lmao!" and "I graduated undergrad from Temple Univ. and I am currently in law school."

Marchand, a reported Brooklyn native, is a known hip-hop socialite. He appears to have done publicity for models in his past, hence the Kanye-Amber Rose connection. And now he's using the Twitter attention to his advantage: late Sunday night he tweeted, "Some very influential ppl have reached out to me. Just goes to show what was meant for evil, God made it for good! Stay tuned..."
