Google Glass To Go On Sale For One Day Only
Not Just For Google's "Explorers"
Get out your credit cards for the sale of the year. On April 15, for just 24 hours, Google Glass will go on sale to the general public.
Google has announced that this Tuesday it will put up for sale its highly-anticipated internet-connected smart glasses, to anyone in the US, regardless of their tech sensibilities orlack of affiliation with the company.
The only factor limiting you from the latest in cyborg fashion is your pocketbook: a pair of Google Glasses costs $1,500.
But oh the benefits! Google Glass, which mounts on a special pair of frames, puts an optical display before your eyes that lets you access the internet, get directions, and even snap photos and videos.
The futuristic device has only been available to certain Google employees and screened "Explorers", individuals who were granted special use of Glass because they've been determined to be more interesting than the rest of us.
But no longer. Get your own Google Glass when sales begin at 9 a.m. ET on April 15. Sign up here to have Google remind you exactly it all starts.
