Green Celebrities: Amy Smart and Carter Oosterhouse's Wedding Generated One Bag of Trash
Amy Smart, Carter Oosterhouse Have Green Wedding
Everybody's going green these days ... Hollywood included.
The latest green effort comes courtesy of actress Amy Smart and new husband Carter Oosterhouse, who had a green wedding.
What does that mean, exactly?
Smart wore a Carolina Herrera gown, which I'm betting was neither recycled nor organic, but beyond the wedding day fashion, they were able to maintain a fairly eco-friendly shindig.
Oosterhouse tells E! Online, "Our wedding was very green. We had 220 people there and only one bag of trash, not even a full bag. We recycled everything, we composted everything."

Not too shabby, really.
Of course, Smart and Oosterhouse join the growing movement to go green, with plans to install solar panels on their new home.
Smart shared, "For my house, I had [the solar paneling company] come and ... try and put them on my roof. From the mountains and the location, they said I wouldn't be able to benefit from it and it would be so expensive because I get so much shade at some points. So yeah, if we can, we will definitely try to put solar on."
Other celebs getting in on the green scene are Jamie Lee Curtis, who recently commented, "We're melting!" She and husband Christopher Guest had solar panels installed on their house as well, plus Guest drives an electric car.
Entourage star Adrian Grenier has long followed a green philosophy, telling E!: "To me, this lifestyle is a work in progress, it requires constant participation and really that's the key. I think being passive or ignorant is sort of what's gotten us into this mess in the first place."
Are you into the whole recycling thing or is it not even something you think about?
