Green Day to Collaborate With ... Angry Birds?
Band Hoping to Promote New Music Via Video Game
Punk band Green Day is going to the birds, literally. The group is set to partner with the hugely popular Angry Birds franchise in the latest edition of the mobile game that seems to have taken over the world.
In the new version of Angry Birds Friends, pigs will appear that resemble each of the bands four members: Bill Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool. The games will also feature new music from the band.

The Angry Birds partnership isn't the band's only unusual method of promoting its upcoming music. They're also set to make a guest appearance on the hit TV series, CSI: NY.
"Whatever it takes to get the music out there," Armstrong told MTV News, although he admits he and his band mates are also huge fans. "It's such an addictive game that when we first started playing, we couldn't stop."
"We really want to go viral with a lot of this stuff," he adds.
Hey, whatever works!
