Grey's Ellen Pompeo Is Pregnant

Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo announced that she and her music producer husband, Chris Ivery, are expecting their first child. She is not the only one from Grey's who is preggers!

Ellen Pompeo plays Meredith Grey on the show. But, did you know that Ellen's costar, Chyler Leigh, is also expecting a child? Chyler plays Dr. Lexie Grey on the show, Meredith's half-sister.

Now, I am wondering if Shonda Rhimes, writer of Grey's Anatomy, is going to write either, or both, of the pregnancies into the show, or will Meredith and Lexie continue to keep things cool with McDreamy and McSteamy? Rumor has it that there will be a wedding this season. If you are a fan of the show, that means you know that there is no guaranteed that it's Meredith and Derek who will wed, even though they are engaged. Could it be Lexie and sexy Sloane? Hmmm...or maybe Alex will wed Izzie, worried that she will die soon. We are sure that we are in for more surprises this season!

Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery met in 2003 and have been married since November 2007. Ellen's rep, Jennifer Allen said, "It's great news. They're ecstatic."

As for Chyler Leigh, who is 23 years old, and her husband, Nathan West, this will be their third child. The couple currently has a son, Noah Wilde, and a daughter Taelyn Leigh. They are expecting a girl in May.
