Sorry, fans

Were you just dying to hear Gwyneth Paltrow's upcoming country album? Well, it appears you're going to have to wait a little longer. If you ever get to hear it at all. Gwyneth's talks with Atlantic Records have halted and she's trying to figure out her next move.

We keep hearing that Gwyneth Paltrow is close to signing a record deal with Atlantic Records, but then nothing more. So, what's the deal with Gwynny's record? Well, according to Page Six, "Atlantic bosses were very interested, and [Atlantic owner] Warner chief Lyor Cohen was very supportive. But then the talks halted and the deal fizzled out. There was a rumor that Paltrow wanted $1 million to sign, but that is a ridiculous figure. Atlantic is still interested in signing her."

Gwyneth is trying to make it sound like the halting of talks was her idea, but I'm unclear on what's really going on. Was the $1M demand too much for Gwyneth or did she back out because she changed her mind?

The Post also claims, "Atlantic was not the only company pursuing her, and she still has not decided if she wants to record an album." So, what's the hold-up? And when will she decide?

Sorry to all the Gwyneth Paltrow singing fans, but I think she should opt out of making a record. I mean, sure she can sing, but if she was just a regular Jane on the street, there's no way she'd ever get a record deal. Of course, being Gwyneth Paltrow, she can get one if she wants. But does that mean she should?

Are you sad that Gwyneth Paltrow's album was delayed (and possibly canceled altogether)? Or do you think she's better off sticking to acting?
