HBO Considers 'Savage Love' Show
Live, love and learn.
Dan Savage's sex advice column, "Savage Love," is one of the funniest and most controversial articles around. Now, with his work already nationally syndicated, Savage has gotten the attention of cable tv executives. HBO is reportedly considering a new series based on the popular column.
"[The show] will focus on current events and cultural trends with sex as the filter," said a press release for the show.
Savage himself has confirmed in his blog for his home paper, Seattle's The Stranger, that he is working on a pilot to show HBO.
"I'm hoping to bring a new kind of conversation to TV about sex," he said, "an honest conversation, one that's informed without being (too) wonky, funny without being (too) cruel, sexy without being (too) cheesy. Basically, my sex advice column -- but on the teevee!"
Filming starts Thursday, so you have plenty of time to teach yourself all about "Savage Love." Check out the column and become a fan.
