Hair Vs. Governing Style. A Totally Scientific Analysis.
Let your pompadour guide presidential policy.
In these turbulent and troubled times, it's important that all Americans think long and hard about their choice for President. The economy, national security, health care. We're getting to the root of these issues. Literally.
We looked at past presidents to find out what their hair styles might tell us about their governing styles. What? Did you think we were going to have a Meet the Press moment here?
Ronald "City on the Hill" Reagan
His hopes were high and so was his hair. America's greatness required volume, and lots of it. Prosperity should start at the top and trickle down, much like his wavy tresses.
George "Keep Your Hair Close" Bush
Tight, closely cropped, and a little wiry. W's hair says it all: stick to your guns, don't stray from the plan, chart the conservative course at home, abroad, and with the clippers.
Bill "I Cannot Be Confined By A Razor" Clinton
Loose, large, and a bit wild. Bill's bouffant, like his governing, was grandiose, uninhibited, a smidge devil-may-care, and in some cases truly inspired. Go big, or go home is the motto of the Clinton coif.
Richard "It Looks Good From One Angle" Nixon
In some spots, robust, full, strong, and promising. In others, retreating, absent, and, eventually, gone.
